Back From The Carolinas

After four and a half crazy weeks away from home - we're all back. We got the opportunity to spend a little time south of Myrtle Beach for a few nights before heading back. We stayed at a house across the street from the beach with the other family from Jeff's work that was with us in Greensboro. It was great to relax and give the kids the opportunity to swim in the ocean. It took some time for the kids to get used to the salt water. Robbie loved being in the waves until a wave would go over him. He'd get out and play on the beach until he forgot the feeling of salt water in his eyes - he'd then give it another try and start the process all over again.

I forgot all about doing my hair make up for days - that was a vacation in itself. Like every Starkey vacation - someone had to get sick. Robbie came down with a fever and cold on the third day. Jeff volunteered to stay inside with him all day. It gave Jeff the chance to catch up on his sleep. The undertow was pretty harsh that day, so it was short day at the beach for us all anyway. Ro and Jeff were back on the beach the following day, but Ro was kind enough to share his cold with Maritza, Alexis and myself before we left for home.
