Visit to University of Akron

Last weekend we visited the University of Akron to see the new stadium and to pick our seating area for this fall. There is a little way to go before it's completed, but we're looking forward to seeing the new stadium. Our friends Steve & Bridget also have tickets with us. We all went o visit our old favorite restaurant Yoconos. Long ago when Jeff and I were dating and gas was cheap, we would drive 2 hours for the heck of it to have pizza at Yoconos in Akron. Not a whole lot has changed with Yoconos except the prices - the building is the same and there is even one waiter that has worked there since we have been going there for the past 21 years.
One thing that has changed - the UA campus is whole new world. The kids were impressed with the rock climbing wall, indoor football training facility and the lazy river at the athletic center. They both agreed that they wanted to go there for college. I'm sure there may be other factors for their college selection in the future, but I can keep hoping...

We weren't "regulars", but Jen and I used to frequent Yoconos when we lived in Akron.

Did you ever figure out what is the purpose of that split rock in the middle of campus?
