Update

Sorry for the lack of posts lately... we've been so busy with everyone's activities. I started playing in a community band in January. It seems playing the trombone is like riding a bike, you never forget. It's been great to get out a couple of times a month and to excercise my brain, too. I don't think I ever practiced this much in college or high school.
Shelby is the truly busy one of this family - we're just along for the ride. Her soccer season is about to end this weekend, with one last game to play against the boys league for fun??? Her team tied for first place in the league. She had a great season in defense and she is able kick the ball half down the field. She has also been taking swimming lessons with her friend Maggie once a week. She looks like Esther Williams swimming on her back, with not as much grace on her front crawl - but she is coming along quite well. Shelby had two items placed in the high school art show to represent her school. We're not sure who she gets her artistic abilities from??? Two weeks ago she had her recorder concert. Lets say she isn't quite taken with the recorder, it must be all her genetic tendencies towards the brass instruments. It makes it hard to tolerate anything from the wind family.

Jeff and my brother in law Adam have been trying to make some repairs on a very old barn on Jeff's Mom's property. However due to safety reasons, it looks like it needs to come down. It will be interesting to see how the MGB comes out of the barn now that there is a four foot deep hole in front of the door. Looks like they'll need some creative work with the chain saw to make a new opening before the demolition.

What can I say about Ro? He's still such a busy little guy and such a great companion to be with during the day. He really cracks us up and it's so nice that he's not old enough to be involved in so many activites. He really enjoys playing with his friends and being with the other kids.
